Projects

The Interact club is a community service centered club and our members strive to become active participants of our local and international communities; having orchestrated various service initiatives throughout the  years. Below are a few of our past projects!

Winter Can Drive

Last semester, our club hosted a can drive for all first period classes at school. The cans were later donated and Mrs. Galbo's first period class ended up winning, receiving a donut party as an award.

Movie Night on 2nd street

This is just one of the various community events that our club has helped out at. During this specific event, we got to help distribute candy and serve those in attendance.

Annual Christmas Lighting

Last year our members got to be Santa's little helpers; ensuring that Christmas in Woodland was a success. It has been a tradition of ours to participate in the lighting festival for a while and our members thoroughly enjoy being a part of it.

Salmon BBQ Dinner

Volunteer members from the club got to wait at the 2023 Salmon BBQ Dinner. We had a great turn out for this event and members also assisted in the auction that was held afterwards.

Blanket Drive

Members of the club volunteered to cut, assemble and tie blankets that were later distributed to various groups of negatively impacted people; ranging from sickly children to homeless shelters.

Reusable Sanitary Pads

Members of the club came together to sew reusable cloth pads for girls in Kenya that were facing a crisis; they would go days or even weeks of missing school as they did not have the proper means to combat menstruation in a public setting. Our students got to work and sent over the finished products once done. It was a heartwarming experience as the girls had written back to our students thanking them.
